FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who will perform the treatments? A trained therapist will conduct your massage and bodywork according to established guidelines and ethics of the industry.

Must I undress? Typically, the most effective massages are those when the client is completely unclothed; however, you decide on the amount of clothing for your own comfort. You will be properly draped at all times during the session. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. Sports massage, chair massage, and energy-based bodywork generally require removal of only select items of clothing.

Will a lubricant be used? A light oil, lotion, or cream is used to reduce friction and improve the glide of the therapist’s hands as he or she massages you. The lubricants also hydrate the skin.

What should I expect during and after a session? Depending on the modality, sessions can last from 20 to 120 minutes. At any time during the massage, you should inform your therapist of any discomfort or pain. A variety of techniques will be used depending on your needs. You should RELAX and ENJOY! Remember to drink plenty of water after your session.
